WeFince looks considerably larger on its website than its independently verifiable footprint suggests.
The crypto platform claims 172,000+ satisfied users, more than 10,000 daily transactions, over 300 trading pairs and $1 billion+ in daily volume. It offers exchange services, staking, crypto wallets, lending, OTC transactions, managed accounts and other products.
Those numbers initially create the impression of a mature international exchange.
I found something much more important hidden in the legal pages.
WeFince claims licences in Malta, the United States and Singapore. But the licence numbers published on wefince.com also appear word-for-word on other, differently branded cryptocurrency websites.
Even more unusually, WeFince’s Terms of Service repeatedly identify Payward as the company holding funds, charging fees and owning platform materials.
Payward is the corporate name associated with Kraken, not WeFince. Kraken’s own current legal terms confirm that its services are provided through Payward entities.
For me, that is not a minor typo.
It raises a fundamental question about who actually wrote the WeFince legal documents and who, if anyone, is legally responsible for money deposited on the platform.
WeFince claims an enormous operation
The presentation on wefince.com is ambitious.
According to the homepage, the platform has:
- 172,000+ satisfied users;
- a 4.8 rating;
- 300+ trading pairs;
- 200+ digital assets;
- more than 10,000 transactions per day;
- over $1 billion in daily trading volume.
Elsewhere on the same page, WeFince says customers can access more than 350 cryptocurrencies.
A billion dollars in daily volume is not a small exchange.
A platform genuinely processing that level of activity would normally have a substantial independent footprint: market listings, corporate information, known executives, verifiable regulatory records and a deep body of user discussion accumulated over time.
Instead, independent review pages currently describe WeFince as a platform operating from 2026, with very little established user history.
That does not automatically make the published
