Sygnum Global review: sygnumglobal.co withdrawal problems and FCA warning

Sygnum Global operates through sygnumglobal.co and platform.sygnumglobal.co, offering CFD, forex, stock and cryptocurrency trading.

At first glance, the platform looks unusually convincing. It uses a prestigious Zurich address, mentions FCA regulation and FSCS protection, and presents itself as an established international trading business.

The problem is that several of those details belong to other regulated financial companies.

More importantly, on 21 August 2026 the UK Financial Conduct Authority issued an official warning about Sygnum Global and sygnumglobal.co, stating that the firm is not authorised and may be targeting UK consumers.

FCA warns about Sygnum Global

The FCA warning identifies Sygnum Global by name and lists the website sygnumglobal.co.

It also includes several telephone numbers associated with the operation, including:

+44 7520 684541

and the email:

support@sygnumglobal.org

These are the same contact details currently associated with the platform.

This is much more significant than an anonymous negative review. The UK regulator has directly stated that Sygnum Global is not authorised by it.

Sygnum Global claims FCA regulation anyway

The footer on sygnumglobal.co makes a very different claim.

It states that:

Sygnum Global UK plc — FCA 173730

and

Sygnum Global Spreadbet plc — FCA 170627

are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

The problem is that these FCA reference numbers do not belong to Sygnum Global.

173730 belongs to CMC Markets UK Plc.

170627 belongs to CMC Spreadbet Plc.

So searching those licence numbers may indeed return real regulated businesses, but they are different companies.

For me, this is one of the strongest warning signs in the entire Sygnum Global review.

The Zurich address belongs to the real Sygnum Bank

Sygnum Global publishes this address:

Uetlibergstrasse 134A, 8045 Zürich, Switzerland

The address is real.

But it is also the official headquarters of Sygnum Bank AG, a genuine Swiss regulated digital-asset bank.

The real Sygnum Bank operates through sygnum.com and gives its main Zurich telephone number as +41 58 508 2000.

Sygnum Global instead uses sygnumglobal.co, the email domain sygnumglobal.org and UK mobile numbers.

This creates a serious identity-confusion problem.

A user searching only the address and the word “Sygnum” may find the legitimate Swiss bank and assume the trading platform is connected to it.

I found no basis for making that assumption.

Sygnum Bank and Sygnum Global are not the same thing

This distinction needs to be clear.

Sygnum Bank AG is a genuine FINMA-supervised Swiss bank.

Sygnum Global / sygnumglobal.co is the trading website that the FCA has placed on its warning list as unauthorised.

The similar name and identical Zurich address should not be used as proof that the two operations are connected.

If someone introduces Sygnum Global by saying “this is a Swiss regulated Sygnum company,” verify the exact domain rather than the name.

The website history creates another contradiction

The current sygnumglobal.co domain was registered in November 2025.

Yet the website publishes a statistic claiming approximately 1.388 million unique user logins to Sygnum Global investment and CFD platforms as of August 2023.

That date is more than two years before the current domain was registered.

A company can move to a new domain, of course. But if that happened, I would expect a clear historical trail showing the previous official website and the migration to sygnumglobal.co.

Without that evidence, the 2023 statistic deserves scepticism.

FSCS protection should not be assumed

The website also prominently discusses the UK Financial Services Compensation Scheme and says eligible customers may receive protection of up to £85,000.

That can create a powerful sense of security.

But FSCS protection depends on dealing with an appropriately authorised financial firm and on the particular regulated activity involved.

The FCA has specifically warned that Sygnum Global is not authorised.

Users should therefore not assume that money deposited through sygnumglobal.co receives FSCS protection simply because the website displays information about the scheme.

Platform.sygnumglobal.co and the trading balance

Clients use platform.sygnumglobal.co as the trading environment.

A professional-looking trading terminal can show live charts, open positions, profitable trades and a steadily increasing account balance.

None of this proves that the displayed amount is held with Sygnum Bank or another regulated financial institution.

For example, a user may deposit $5,000 and later see $18,000 in the account.

The important test is not the number shown on screen.

It is whether the $18,000 can actually be withdrawn.

Sygnum Global reviews mention withdrawal problems

Published user feedback around Sygnum Global already contains allegations of withdrawals being blocked after significant deposits.

Several users describe the same broad pattern: the trading balance grows normally, but once a withdrawal is requested, another payment appears.

Reported Sygnum Global complaint

“Sygnum Global showed a large balance in my account, but when I tried to withdraw I was asked to pay another fee before the money could be released.”

Another reported withdrawal problem

“After depositing more money with Sygnum Global, I requested a withdrawal. First I was asked for an additional liquidity payment, and afterwards another condition appeared.”

These are paraphrased summaries of published user allegations, not independently proven findings.

However, they are particularly relevant because the FCA has already warned about the exact platform.

Do not keep paying new withdrawal fees

If Sygnum Global is currently asking you for another payment, I would stop before transferring anything.

Common explanations may include tax, liquidity fees, insurance, AML verification, account unlocking or a wealth-manager commission.

The wording can change, but the economic situation remains the same.

If $30,000 is already inaccessible, sending another $5,000 does not make the existing balance safer.

The new payment is simply additional money at risk.

Be especially careful with “unblocking” payments

One published complaint describes a user being asked for a very large payment supposedly connected with accessing the account. After paying, another equally large amount was allegedly demanded to unblock the previous transaction.

This is a dangerous escalation pattern.

The customer keeps paying because each new payment is presented as the final obstacle between them and the existing balance.

If one fee is followed by another, do not assume the next payment will be the last.

Sygnum Global’s own pages contain strange inconsistencies

The platform’s AML and KYC pages contain language referring to an “educational platform,” even though the main website presents Sygnum Global as a CFD and investment service.

The KYC section also states that deposits are considered non-refundable while separately describing an application process for refunding remaining balances.

These inconsistencies do not establish fraud on their own, but they suggest that the legal and compliance content should not be accepted uncritically simply because it appears professional.

What to do if Sygnum Global does not withdraw money

If you already deposited through sygnumglobal.co or platform.sygnumglobal.co, stop increasing the amount at risk and preserve your evidence.

Save your account balance, deposit history, withdrawal requests, bank receipts, cryptocurrency transaction hashes and all communications with managers.

Pay particular attention to messages from support@sygnumglobal.org and calls involving +44 7520 684541, because these contact details already appear in the FCA warning.

If cryptocurrency was used, save the receiving wallet address and every transaction hash.

If you paid by bank transfer, identify the exact beneficiary rather than writing only “Sygnum Global.”

Do not confuse virtual profit with your actual loss

Suppose the Sygnum Global account displays $80,000, but you actually transferred $25,000.

The $25,000 is documented real money.

The remaining $55,000 may represent trading results displayed by the platform.

For a bank complaint, police report or recovery analysis, begin with the actual payment trail.

That is the part that can be independently proven.

Sygnum Global review: my assessment

I would treat Sygnum Global / sygnumglobal.co / platform.sygnumglobal.co as extremely high risk.

The reasons are concrete.

The FCA officially warns that Sygnum Global is unauthorised.

The telephone number +44 7520 684541 and support email support@sygnumglobal.org appear in that warning.

The website claims FCA numbers 173730 and 170627, but those numbers belong to CMC Markets UK Plc and CMC Spreadbet Plc.

Sygnum Global also publishes Uetlibergstrasse 134A in Zurich, which is the genuine headquarters of the unrelated regulated Sygnum Bank AG.

The site additionally makes historical claims dating to 2023 even though the current sygnumglobal.co domain appeared only in late 2025.

Taken together, these are far more serious issues than a few negative customer reviews.

If you have not deposited, I would not rely on the Swiss address, FCA numbers or FSCS references as proof that sygnumglobal.co is regulated.

If your money is already on the platform and withdrawal now requires another fee, stop sending further funds and document the complete payment chain first.

You can submit your complaint and learn what steps may help recover your funds here.

Research basis: the FCA warning confirms the exact Sygnum Global domain and supplied phone/email details; official Sygnum Bank records confirm the Zurich address belongs to Sygnum Bank AG; FCA records show FRNs 173730 and 170627 belong to CMC entities.
