Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD review: fake website warning and withdrawal problems

Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD is a real Singapore investment company regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. That fact, however, has been used to make unrelated trading websites look legitimate.

This is not a case where I simply found a company with unclear licensing. MAS has already issued an official warning about entities impersonating Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD.

The warning specifically includes contact details such as support@expeditioninv.net, info@expeditioninv.net and the telephone number +44 1604 300110.

Those details should not be confused with the genuine regulated company.

Is Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD real?

Yes. The genuine Expedition Investment Management PTE. LTD. is incorporated in Singapore and holds a Capital Markets Services licence for fund management.

Its current official details include:

  • official website: expeditioninvestment.com;
  • telephone: +65 6022 0776;
  • current address: 2 Central Boulevard #10-04, IOI Central Boulevard West Towers, Singapore 018916.

The genuine business manages private investment funds.

It is not an ordinary retail forex or cryptocurrency broker where anyone can register, deposit a few hundred dollars and start trading through a WebTrader.

This distinction is central to the entire Expedition Investment Management review.

MAS has issued an impersonation warning

The Monetary Authority of Singapore has placed the suspicious operation using the Expedition name on its Investor Alert List.

MAS identifies websites connected with the impersonation and explicitly states that the entity is impersonating a financial institution regulated by MAS — Expedition Investment Management Pte. Ltd.

The warning also lists the following contacts:

support@expeditioninv.net

info@expeditioninv.net

+44 1604 300110

These are the same details being presented to potential investors.

This gives us much stronger evidence than ordinary negative reviews.

The old Singapore address makes the impersonation more convincing

One particularly clever detail is the use of:

8 Marina View #11-04, Asia Square Tower 1, Singapore 018960

This was connected with the genuine company in earlier corporate records.

However, the official MAS directory now lists Expedition Investment Management at 2 Central Boulevard #10-04.

Using an authentic historical address can make a cloned investment project look extremely convincing.

A person checks the address online, finds that the real company previously used it and assumes everything else must also be genuine.

That conclusion is dangerous.

Fraudulent impersonation does not require inventing fake information. Real corporate details can simply be copied.

The genuine company has issued its own warning

Expedition Investment Management has also publicly warned about third parties impersonating the firm.

The genuine company states that its only official website is expeditioninvestment.com.

Its corporate email addresses end in:

@expedition-funds.com

The company says it uses no other website or email domain.

That means emails from @expeditioninv.net should not be treated as official Expedition Investment Management correspondence.

The difference is small visually, but legally it is enormous.

The real Expedition does not offer a retail trading platform

This is another important verification point.

The genuine company says it manages private funds for institutional and accredited investors.

It specifically states that it does not operate a public retail trading platform or investment application.

It also says it does not raise money from the general public through:

  • cold calls;
  • WhatsApp;
  • Telegram;
  • social media;
  • online investment advertising.

If someone contacts you unexpectedly, introduces themselves as an Expedition analyst and offers access to forex, cryptocurrency or CFD trading, this does not match the genuine company’s stated business model.

Expeditioninv.net emails are a major red flag

An email address can look professional without belonging to the company whose name appears in the signature.

For example:

support@expeditioninv.net

looks much more convincing than a Gmail address.

But the genuine company’s own warning says that official corporate emails use @expedition-funds.com.

This is why checking only the sender’s display name is not enough.

A message may say:

“Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD”

while the underlying email domain belongs to an unrelated operation.

Always check what comes after the @ symbol.

The British number does not match the official company

The number +44 1604 300110 has also been associated with the impersonating operation.

The genuine MAS-listed company uses the Singapore number +65 6022 0776.

A UK telephone number is not automatically suspicious. International investment businesses can maintain numbers in many countries.

But here the problem is different: the UK number appears directly in the regulatory warning connected with the impersonation.

That is a much stronger signal.

Expedition Investment Management reviews and withdrawal problems

Published complaints around the impersonating platform describe a familiar pattern: users are introduced to what appears to be a legitimate regulated investment company, deposit funds, see trading activity and later encounter problems when trying to withdraw.

The following are summaries of reported complaint patterns, not verified quotations from the genuine Singapore company:

“I believed Expedition Investment Management was regulated because I found the real Singapore company. Later I discovered the trading platform and expeditioninv.net contacts were not the official company.”

“The Expedition Investment Management account showed profit, but withdrawal led to demands for additional payments before the funds could supposedly be released.”

The important point is that these complaints concern parties using the Expedition name. They should not be attributed to the genuine regulated fund manager.

A real MAS licence does not make the trading website legitimate

This is exactly how clone-company schemes become convincing.

A salesperson can send you:

a real company name;

a genuine MAS licence;

a genuine Singapore registration number;

a genuine director’s name;

a real historical address.

You check everything and find that it exists.

The missing step is verifying that the person contacting you and the website receiving your money actually belong to that regulated company.

MAS itself warns investors to verify the exact contact details rather than relying on licences or certificates sent by another person.

Be careful if you are asked to pay before withdrawal

The genuine Expedition Investment Management explicitly says it will never demand an additional:

tax;

commission;

deposit;

fee

simply to release or withdraw funds.

This is therefore a very useful test.

If someone using the Expedition name says:

“Pay the tax and your money will be released.”

“Deposit insurance before withdrawal.”

“Complete an AML payment.”

“Add margin before closing the account.”

the request does not match the genuine company’s own published procedures.

Do not send another payment simply because your existing balance appears large.

Do not take a loan to recover the displayed balance

A common escalation in investment fraud occurs when the client runs out of available money.

The supposed manager may suggest taking a temporary loan.

The argument usually sounds simple: borrow now, complete the required payment and repay the bank immediately after withdrawal.

But this assumes that the balance displayed on the platform is actually withdrawable.

If it is not, the customer loses more money and remains responsible for the loan.

Never borrow simply to unlock an investment account.

What to do if you paid through the fake Expedition platform

If you have already transferred money, stop making further payments and preserve the full transaction history.

Save the emails from support@expeditioninv.net or info@expeditioninv.net, the telephone numbers, trading-account screenshots, withdrawal requests, bank receipts and cryptocurrency transaction hashes.

Also record the exact website you used.

Do not rely only on the Expedition company name. The domain is crucial when proving that you were dealing with an impersonating operation rather than the genuine company.

Check who actually received your money

This is especially important for recovery.

If you paid by bank transfer, identify the beneficiary shown on the bank statement.

If money went to an individual or an unrelated company, save those details.

If you transferred cryptocurrency, record the wallet address and transaction hash.

The real payment recipient may be much more useful in an investigation than the name displayed inside a trading terminal.

Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD: scam or legitimate?

The real Expedition Investment Management PTE LTD is a legitimate MAS-regulated Singapore fund manager.

But the operation using support@expeditioninv.net, info@expeditioninv.net, +44 1604 300110 and related trading websites is a different matter.

MAS has officially identified websites using the Expedition identity as impersonating the regulated company.

The genuine firm has separately confirmed that its only public website is expeditioninvestment.com, its emails end in @expedition-funds.com, and it does not operate a public retail trading platform.

For that reason, anyone dealing with expeditioninv.net contacts or a retail trading terminal presented as Expedition Investment Management should stop and verify the situation before sending further money.

If a withdrawal is already blocked, do not pay another tax, insurance fee or deposit simply to release the balance.

You can submit your complaint and learn what steps may help recover your funds here.
